We know that achieving our mission won’t be easy and that it will require patience, dedication, and a commitment to agitating for change cycle after cycle. We believe our guiding principles can steer us toward our vision of a better future — to the America we know is possible.
The Story of Murmuration
Since the early days of Murmuration, we’ve believed that communities hold infinite power. To rally for change, to hold leaders accountable, to organize people around new ideas. We’ve oriented our entire organization around this belief: that community-focused organizations are the most effective agents to transform the systems that are failing us.
Our team comprises individuals with diverse backgrounds and viewpoints who share this common belief. We are former organizers, scientists, teachers, technologists, campaign veterans, and more. Together, we are innovating and building high-quality and easy-to-use products and tools purposefully fit for our partners — organizations working on some of the most intractable issues.
Our guiding principles shape our day-to-day lives, inform how we work together and how we make decisions, and serve as the foundation for our relationship with our partners. Most importantly, they provide a blueprint to help fulfill America's promise that people can live healthy, free, and dignified lives.
