The Challenge
Courageous Colorado is a small but ambitious team working to reform democratic systems across Colorado. As a young organization, they needed one central home for their supporter data and a simple way to turn new interest into an active, engaged base.
Before Organizer, Courageous Colorado didn't have a dedicated system in place. Supporter information lived in scattered lists, making it hard to see the full picture of who their community was, where they lived, and what they cared about.

How Organizer Helped
In 2025, Courageous Colorado turned to Organizer—an outreach and organizing platform that offers an email marketing platform for nonprofits, nonprofit landing pages, and robust data capabilities. Organizer centralized their supporter data and enabled their outreach.
Courageous Colorado also tapped into Atlas, the civic data infrastructure powering Organizer, to match their imported records against an enriched, continuously updated dataset—giving them a more accurate, comprehensive profile of thousands of potential supporters.
In less than a year, Courageous Colorado leveraged Organizer to achieve:

Data Imports
New supporters—captured through landing pages and ad campaigns—are imported into Organizer and matched to Atlas data automatically, giving the team an always-current view of their growing base.
Organizer's email marketing platform for nonprofits became Courageous Colorado's primary way of engaging their community. They send monthly newsletters, spotlight upcoming events, and share ways to take action.
Email also powers key moments for the organization, including:
- The launch of their Democracy is Delicious campaign, an effort to build support for a fully open primary in Colorado
- A call to action around their Caucus System report, encouraging supporters to share it and start conversations
- Event reminders and recaps for their statewide Activation Tour
To move quickly without reinventing the wheel each month, the team leans heavily on templates built into Organizer’s email marketing platform for nonprofits, saving valuable staff time.
Landing Pages
Organizer's nonprofit landing pages gave Courageous Colorado a branded, trackable destination for their campaigns. For example, landing pages anchored their fall Activation Tour, a 10-stop tour across Colorado communities where the team met with residents, gathered feedback on top issues, and invited attendees to join their coalition and newsletter list.
Data Collection
Beyond email and landing pages, Courageous Colorado has also used Organizer to collect information directly from their community as part of tour stops and campaign activity—feeding new supporters straight into their growing Organizer database.
The Results
In just under a year, Courageous Colorado has sent more than 73,000 emails to their community—a steady rhythm of newsletters, campaign moments, and calls to action to keep supporters informed and engaged month after month.
Behind the scenes, over 18,000 records have been imported into Organizer, giving Courageous Colorado a continuously growing view of their supporters. Of those, more than 11,000 records have been matched to Atlas data. That means thousands of Courageous Colorado's supporters now come with a richer, more complete profile—helping the team better understand who their community is and how to reach them most effectively.
